A note from your instructor, Erin Leopold:
Hi, I'm Erin Leopold, and I'm very excited about beginning our fifth session of Run For God. I first brought the program to Brookwood Church, fall of 2014 and since then have taken hundreds of runners through the First Edition 5k Challenge, a 5k/10k/Half Marathon Challenge and last fall/winter, a Half Marathon/Full Marathon Challenge.
My family and I love sports, the outdoors and anything that involves movement and nature. I have a 32 year background in exercise/health/fitness and have worked part time in the exercise and medical fitness arena until I took a leave of absence to further tackle ongoing health struggles.
To look at me and hear all that I've been able to do with exercise, you wouldn't know the challenging difficulties I've had with my health since I was 16 years old. Being able to impact others’ lives through exercise and wellness when your own is a daily struggle has become my platform, my testimony in showing how God's strength is truly made perfect in weakness. Six years ago God gave me back the gift of racing, all the while still facing great health challenges, and I have been able to personally witness the mysteries and perfect power of Christ working in me through running. The Run For God program has incredible personal meaning for me as a runner, a trainer and a child of God. I honestly feel that every time my feet hit the pavement now I am running for God and not for myself. I cannot wait to share this journey with you who also love God and love running!
We can rejoice too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. Romans 5:3
Registration is open through Thursday, September 12.
