Brookwood Support Ministry offers support groups and workshops to help you through times of struggle.

 

Support Groups offer a positive and nurturing environment to promote encouragement and healing.
  • Celebrate Life: A Grief Recovery Group - This eight-week group is for those who are struggling with grief. This group will offer tools to help deal with grief and be able to celebrate the life of their loved ones who have died. Meets on Monday from 6 – 8:30 PM. Our next support group will begin meeting mid February, 2012.
  • The Christy Ruppert Delseni Autism Group - The CRD Autism Program is an organization for young adults and their families that meet monthly. Parents/caregivers and their young adults meet simultaneously, in separate rooms. Each group discusses pertinent information and concerns, providing social interaction. Regular social outings are planned so the young adults, together with their parents, are able to enjoy leisure activities in the community. Meets on the second Monday of each month, 6:30 – 8:30 pm in Room C221
  • Divorce Care for Men and Women - Divorce Care is a 13-week class for Men and Women offers a healthy recovery process within a safe and secure environment for those who are legally divorced. Meets Wednesdays, 6:30 – 8 PM in Room E284. Our class will begin January 18, 2012. There will be another class later this year.
  • Grands … Standing on Faith - Grands Standing on Faith provides encouragement, support, and informational resources to grandparents raising grandchildren. Grands meet the third Sunday of each month, 4 – 6:30 PM in Pod D.
  • Hope for the Separated Woman - Hope for the Separated Woman is a 10-week class offering a Christ-centered, biblical strategy that offers for those who are currently separated from their spouse. This class will help offer hope during trying times as you discover your identity as a child of God. There is a $10 cost to cover the cost of the workbook. Meets Mondays, 6:30 – 8 PM in Room C227. Class will begin January 16, 2012. There will be another class later this year.  
  • Hope for the Separated Man - Hope for the Separated Man is an 8-week class offering a Christ-centered, biblical strategy that offers for those who are currently separated from their spouse.   • NAMI – National Alliance for the Mental Ill - NAMI’s Family-to-Family is a 12-week course to help families and caregivers of people with mental illness through education, support and advocacy. Contact NAMI at 331.3300 to express interest in the class. Once they have enough people interested they will schedule a class.
