Our ministry focuses on the needs of our active senior adults 50 years and older. We desire to provide opportunities for mature adults to grow, to serve and to enjoy true fellowship with others as we give expression to the values and purposes of Brookwood Church.

Monthly Meetings
We meet on the last Sunday of each month at 5:30 pm in the Chapel for a meal and program.  Some examples of past programs are:  Furman University’s Learning in Retirement, YMCA Fitness after 50, Kay Crowe Bayne’s music and testimony, gospel trios, movies, community care organizations, Hands on Greenville, and Paris Mountain picnics.

Sunday, January 29, 5:30 pm Chapel

Our speaker for this month is Angela Aewon Lee who was born in South Korea to a Baptist preacher and is the wife of Reverend Seung-Heon Lee, Pastor of Greenville First Korean Baptist Church. She will sing praise songs and speak to us on the topic of Big Sermons from a Small Korean Preacher's Wife. We will have a potluck dinner so bring your favorite dish to share.
 

Our meeting this month will feature the music of the Upstate Senior Concert Band. The band is comprised of men and women 55 years of age or older who enjoy providing musical entertainment within various communities of the upstate. Musical selections include sounds of the big bands, swing, patriotic, marches, pop tunes and novelties. Bring your favorite soup or chili to share.

COMING ON SATURDAY, MAY 26, 1-6 pm
Join us for a Spring picnic at beautiful Lake Robinson in Greer.  We've reserved Shelter #1 on the lake from 1-6 pm. Bring your favorite picnic foods and beverage.  Paper goods and ice will be furnished.

We are currently seeking to build our volunteer base. We have opportunities helping with planning trips and programs, setting up and cleaning up after meals. Please let us know how you would like to get involved!
