Giving to Mission Trips
Tax deductions are allowed for contributions made for individuals going on mission trips if the trip involves no significant element of personal pleasure, recreation or vacation and if the church has full accounting and administrative control over the contribution to be sure that it is used for travel and mission related expenses.
Giving to Missionaries
Contributions to Brookwood Missionaries should be made directly to their sending organization such as GEM or SIM. The missionary will receive the funds faster and you will receive a contribution statement for a tax deduction from that organization.
