God has placed an undeniable desire to give and care for others in the hearts of many Brookwood families. When we come together to give in Christ's name, the impact on our church, community and world is magnified.

So, we praise God for the work He's done in each of us as we celebrate the provision, love and grace He's brought to all of us this Christmas.

In addition to our regular contributions, we received 2 large Ministry gifts totaling over $71,000 plus 11 gifts of at least $4,000 each totaling over $72,000.

Brookwood Families - 34 Brookwood families struggling with financial issues received 315 Christmas gifts, at least $3,185 in gift cards, and continual prayers for their families during the holidays. If you'd like to assist a family after Christmas by donating grocery and gas gift cards, please call 864.688.8355 or email [email protected].

Days of Serving - 30 Brookwood Men rallied together to tackle outdoor beautification projects at the church including limbing trees, leave removal, walkway repairs and stump grinding. 47 volunteers decorated the church for Christmas with trees, wreaths and loads of twinkling lights!

Generations Group – Boys learning to experience new life after a history of sexual abuse were blessed with 300 individual Christmas gifts and 50 more house gifts. For more information about how you can support these boys at other times during the year, visit generationsgroup.com.

Greenville County Foster Parent Association – GCFPA received $2,755 in gift cards to help provide Christmas gifts for children in foster care homes and teenagers in group homes throughout Greenville and Anderson Counties. 72 volunteers hosted the annual GCFPA Christmas party, which was such a joyful event. If you have a heart for children, please get in touch with [email protected] for ways to demonstrate love throughout the year.

A Home for Me – AHFM provides resources and support services for kinship families and the children they support. Kinship families are relatives or close family friends who bring vulnerable children into their homes to care for and love. Volunteers donated food items and created 75 Blessing Bags for kinship families – a complete holiday meal in a bag plus $2,500 in gift cards.

Additionally, Brookwood Women provided Greenville County Adoptions with 50 snack bags and $520 in gift cards for the children they support.

Miracle Hill Shepherd's Gate – 70 volunteers participated in the Women's Christmas Hope event, preparing 136 blessing bags with women's essentials (plus a carload of extras) and the gift bags for AHFM and Greenville County Adoptions. Shepherd's Gate provides women and mothers with young children a safe emergency shelter offering food, clothing and compassion for those experiencing homelessness. For more information on how you can support these organizations, please contact [email protected].

Operation Christmas Child (OCC) – BrookwoodKiDs gathered awesome gifts, and 56 volunteers teamed up with other generous Brookwood families to stuff 1,062 shoeboxes full of goodies for kids across the globe. At the Brookwood OCC Collection Site, 86 volunteers processed 25,999 shoe boxes from Brookwood and throughout the community that'll reach impoverished children with gifts and the saving message of Jesus! Volunteers are always welcome to serve when Brookwood is a collection site for OCC.

Thank you for being part of what God is doing through our church. May He continue to transform our hearts to meet the needs of others in 2024.
