Getting Organized at Home
Thursdays, October 14 - November 18, 6:30 - 8:00 pm
Click here to register for this class. Childcare is available for this class.
We live in an age and a culture where we are constantly bombarded with “stuff”. We have more opportunities to buy “stuff” than ever before. Our homes are now bigger by design, and so is our exposure to the things that fill them. So how do we get our arms around this situation and get a handle on the stuff we buy or bring into our homes? How do we keep that stuff from turning into clutter? How do we go about “de-cluttering” our home environment? Together, let’s look at some ways we can better approach getting our homes organized. During this class, we’ll do a room by room appraisal to identify key objects we really love or need, learn how to separate ourselves from the stuff we never liked but felt we had to keep, and let go of certain keepsakes that we’re afraid to throw away and that take up valuable space needed for other things. Is clutter causing chaos in your home? Is it causing you added stress? Where do you even start to get control over it? First, we’ll define what clutter means to us individually. Next, we’ll examine ourselves and why clutter exists and to what degree it exists in our home environment. Finally, we’ll focus on the processes of removing clutter, organizing the things that are left, and supporting a clutter-free home space. One-and-one half class hours per week.
Materials fee of $5.00 required.
